We refurbished and reinvented this construction kit for the National Building Museum. The previous version consisted of PVC pipes and loose-fitting corner hubs - it was not quite robust enough to withstand repeated builds and breakdowns by 12 year olds. Our solution used aluminum square tubing, heavy-duty rubber hubs, and easy to follow color-coding. Instructions on how to build the dome kit are posted below on Instructibles.com
